Introduction to...

Prayer is the most profound privilege the Sovereign Lord has granted to His most precious creation—mankind. I believe too many people are ignorant of this truth, and therefore don't take advantage of the opportunity and privilege of communing with an ALL-POWERFUL, ETERNALLY EXISTENT God—the Creator of the Universe as we should. He desires that we put our faith in Him because He cares about us and love us unconditionally. Wow!!

Guess what? The Book of Psalm will help us in this area. Although these psalms (songs) were written to be accompanied with music, they are the personal poetic expressions of a human being with issues, concerns, emotions, and challenges, as well as expressions of worship and praise to God Almighty. All the everyday practical things of life we can relate to.

The Psalms provide a window into the souls of the writers, and should encourage us to not hold back in pouring out our soul to God with an assurance that He hears, He cares, and He will rescue us if we put our confidence in His faithfulness. There is absolutely nothing that we can't bring to God and expect Him to answer us in the way that He chooses. The Psalms teach us how to connect with God, which is what He desires—fellowship with man.

I Thessalonians 5:17 says, "Never stop praying."

Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come."

I hope you will journey with me on this Prayer Journal through the Psalms. And hopefully, you will be blessed and encouraged in your prayer life, and for certain, draw closer to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith.

It will be worth it!
